Coffee Break
17:05Cloudy morning and a cup of coffee. I am not a coffee kind of person but I think it will make me feel warm and cozy reading... (SPOILER ALERT)
Yesterday in the train apI read a couple of pages, poor I-don’t-know-your-name narrator. He is constantly finding himself with ladies that make their relationship harder and harder, I now understand why he is just like that, so afraid of falling in love and of starting another relationship. However, Jaqueline looks like a good girl... but always single, no fetishes... I do agree with the narrator (seriously I need a name for him, feels weird to call him ‘narrator’), not wanting to fall in love and just have fun is ok. Society makes us see love as family, getting married , have children... what if someone just does not want to go through the path of romance? Will that person live in sin? “It’s called growing up” (26), think about that...
So, they both love each other but they treat each other as “a cat in the Zoo” (28). Even though he feels some freedom within that relationship...what kind of coexistence is that? ... oh wait a minute he met Louise now. Seriously narrator, make up your mind and think about your situation and what do you want to achieve...I think you are just trying things with women until you find the perfect one...oh god, I wouldn’t like to find you on my way home, maybe you will also try something with me or think about “and then I met Cristina”. Nope. Go away. Stop.
“Your lover reminds you of a tree” (29), good start narrator. THREESOME? What the hell is going on your head narrator?? Oh, Louise is a 10-year-married woman. Now Louise looks like jealous of Jaqueline? Because she called the narrator (I think I will call him Narry from now on lol) and because Narry rejected her proposal of the opera for a staying in night with J? This is getting interesting, more than a soap opera hehe.
Jaqueline staying with her mom after Narry thinking what to do, isn’t it a coincidence and the best gift for him? But now he wants to stay alone? Do not understand you. Harry’s friend is totally me “You bloody idiot, another married woman” (32) THANKS. talking and talking about Elgin (Louise’s husband)...not really into it but curious how he got his name, but I do not care about him to be honest. But how they both met was cuter than the way Narry is meeting ladies, point for Elgin!
Elgin lost his point, what are those manners to treat your wife? As if she had to do everything for him while he lives a luxury life going to Washington and drinking champagne, and his wife being undervalued... Thi really gets on my nerves.
Oh wow Narry is making food, even vegetables, seem sexy with all this description about eating with Louise, cute alert here, at least he is paying attention to subtle and delicate details about her, her mouth and her skin. “At each bite burst war and passion” (37), deep and intense. Progress? I think so!
Damn class is almost starting, got to go buuut such an intense episode in here!
(on the train...)
Louise now wants something with Narry? But he actually sees something in his relationship with J... DO NOT UNDERSTAND GONNA SEE HOW THIS CONTINUES.
“I came to you with a crown and you gave me the kingdom” (49). This is what I want to highlight about what I have read. It is a beautiful sentence, with lots of connotations. One, and my connotation, would be how a person you love makes you be a greater person, from having a crown to a kingdom, from just having your world to live within a kingdom with your love ones.
